Ed Stalcup is an IT professional with over ten years of experience with computer systems, Windows, networks and workstations. Ed started his IT career with The Systems Consulting Group where he began supporting the firm’s internal systems and soon after was promoted to managing the Client Help Desk. After the company was acquired by Cambridge Technology Partners, Ed worked on several national and international consulting engagements as well as with numerous internal project and development teams. After completing his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification, Ed channeled his desire to teach others into a position as a Microsoft Certified Trainer. Ed took on a leadership role with many of the company’s initiatives including serving as Technical Lead Manager for the global rollout of Windows 2000 Professional to more than 2000 of Cambridge’s users.
After more than seven years with Cambridge, Ed accepted a position with United States Government Southern Command where he assumed leadership of the organization’s Enterprise Management Group. While at Southern Command Ed’s team received a citation from the Group Commander for engineering the successful Windows XP rollout and the migration of the network’s workstations to Active Directory.
At Gateway Insurance, Ed serves as our Director of Information Technology and Systems. Ed has overall responsibility for directing his staff and for maintaining Gateway’s automation systems both at the main office as well as at our branches and for our remote users.
Ed is passionate about learning new technology, mentoring his staff and helping users. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling and being involved with his church.
